Located in a picturesque area, our facility offers a blend of small-town charm and accessibility to larger urban centers. The surrounding region is known for its excellent educational institutions and a robust economy supported by significant employers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in alignment with established standards of practice.
- Implement care plans, including administering medications, collecting specimens, and providing clinical treatments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities.
- Monitor and communicate patient conditions effectively to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including transfers and discharges.
- Assess and address the educational needs of patients and their families, providing tailored information based on individual circumstances.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and committees as required.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
- Work scheduled shifts, including potential overtime, and accept on-call duties as assigned.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the established dress code.
- Comply with safety standards, particularly regarding exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Possess critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in high-pressure situations.
- Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire, AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire, AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire; TNCC preferred.
- Current and active Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of Tennessee.
