The User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) team at Splunk is seeking a skilled software engineer to help design, develop, and deliver our cloud-native, multi-tenanted analytics solution. This innovative solution detects known and unknown threats by applying behavioral analysis based on advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence technology.
As a member of the UEBA team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new features while testing and analyzing the performance of existing systems. You will also uphold high engineering standards by leading design, code, and test plan reviews. Additionally, you will build reliable, scalable, and high-performance distributed systems, identify and implement opportunities for engineering and operational excellence, and participate in on-call rotations, post-incident reviews, and other operational activities to ensure service reliability.
This role requires strong knowledge of distributed system architecture, including data persistence and processing technologies for both streaming and batch applications. You should also have hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with application monitoring, log management, metrics/telemetry processing, and alerting tools is also essential. Furthermore, you should be proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala, and have a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
