About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Inova Specialty Hospital. As a PTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services, including transportation, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities as outlined by treatment plans and state practice guidelines.
  • Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs established by the Physical Therapist (PT).
  • Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices such as canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs.
  • Demonstrate use of gait, belt, and safety awareness, as well as proper guarding techniques.
  • Order and instruct patients in the use of prescribed equipment.
Qualifications
  • Valid state PTA license required.
  • Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
