Position Overview:

Tek Tree LLC is seeking a Lead or Senior Air Quality Engineer/Scientist to enhance its Air Quality Services division in Houston, Texas. This pivotal role combines technical expertise with business development responsibilities, focusing on air quality permitting, compliance, air dispersion modeling, and various ESG initiatives. The successful candidate will also play a key role in identifying and developing new business opportunities within the Houston and Gulf Coast regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage air quality permitting and compliance processes.
  • Conduct air dispersion modeling and other environmental assessments.
  • Drive business development efforts in the region.
  • Foster relationships with clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff members.

Qualifications:


Experience: 12-15 years in air quality permitting and compliance.


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, or a related discipline.


Skills:

  • Proven track record in business development.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and technical applications.
  • Strong time management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage, mentor, and train team members.
  • Collaborative mindset aligned with the company’s culture.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Master’s or Doctorate degree in relevant fields.


• 5-10 years of supervisory experience.


• Experience in project scoping and proposal preparation.


• Familiarity with air quality dispersion modeling tools (e.g., AERMOD, ISC-PRIME).


• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) license with plans to obtain a PE license.
