The Concern Treatment Unit for Boys (CTUB) is seeking motivated and engaging individuals to become part of our residential treatment team as a part-time Youth Worker II. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a role model, responsible for creating a secure environment that enables youth to develop and acquire essential social-emotional skills necessary for success beyond the program.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience working with youth, or an Associate Degree (or 60 credits) with 3 years of relevant experience.
Essential Requirements:
- Ability to make critical decisions regarding the safety and security of the program and community.
- Maintain all necessary state and federal clearances and credentials.
- Exhibit strong writing, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills while effectively managing clients.
- Possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel as required, including transporting clients.
- Demonstrate basic proficiency in standard office equipment such as computers, faxes, copiers/scanners, calculators, and phones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direction to Youth Worker I staff to ensure the execution of daily routines for the youth, including personal hygiene, meals, recreation, and program activities.
- Maintain group control by assigning tasks to staff to coordinate youth activities effectively.
- Ensure accurate communication among staff during shifts, including handovers between on-duty and off-duty personnel.
- Oversee program supervision and security with integrity in the absence of administrative staff, meeting the high standards of the CTUB program.
- Ensure compliance with medication counts, incident documentation, and restraints as necessary.
- Organize and share information for weekly meetings and as required.
- Perform duties assigned to a Youth Worker I as needed.
Work Schedule:
7 days: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
5 days off
7 days: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
2 days off
Compensation:
Hourly wage ranges from $17 to $19, depending on experience.
