At the New England Center for Children, we are seeking a highly skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team. As a Recreational Therapist, you will collaborate with adapted physical education specialists to design and develop innovative leisure and recreational programs for our students with autism.

Our Recreational Therapists utilize these recreational-based treatments to help regain or improve physical abilities, promote social well-being, and build confidence. They work with a team of professionals and assist our students in mastering all skills needed to achieve independence, including self-care, communication, and social skills, and community engagement.

Qualifications:

  • TN Visa sponsored by NECC (must have citizenship supporting the requirements of a TN Visa)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Willingness to help students who engage in challenging behaviors
  • Must be able to communicate and provide verbal instruction clearly with our students
  • Valid Driver's License with reliable vehicle
  • CPR training completion through NECC within 6 months of employment
  • Successful completion of NECC training - Physical and Verbal De-escalation training (CALM) and Medication Administration training (ability to get MAP Certified)
