Job Overview:

Schneider National, Inc. is seeking a Compliance Specialist to provide day-to-day hiring process support to Driver Recruiting. The ideal candidate will ensure the company stays compliant with Federal and State Departments of Transportation regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a working knowledge of DOT regulations and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Review truck driver candidate qualification files, criminal background records, motor vehicle records, employment history records, and other relevant documents to ensure candidates meet Schneider's criteria.
  • Utilize a verification program to validate candidates' records and update the company's candidate tracking system accordingly.
  • Communicate findings with Recruiting Specialists, Recruiters, and leadership to ensure seamless hiring process.
  • Train new members of the compliance team to maintain a high level of expertise within the department.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of professional work experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
