Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at J & J Worldwide Services. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Work: Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
  • Plumbing Repairs: Complete miscellaneous plumbing repairs, including replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
  • General Maintenance: Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, paint structures and equipment, and repair or replace concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
  • Maintenance of Equipment: Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery, and communicate with customers regarding work request status and coordination.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls as needed, including nights and weekends.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years' experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Certifications: Personnel designated to repair and test backflow prevention devices shall be certified by the State.
  • Education: GED or High School Graduate.
  • Skills: General knowledge of plumbing fixtures and ability to comprehend blueprints and drawings.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, and constant arm extensions.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to Elements: Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable.
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a local background check and have the ability to obtain and maintain NAC/LAC clearance after hire.
