Job Title: Inspector I

At HEICO, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inspector I to join our team. As an Inspector I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough inspections of parts to ensure they meet all required specifications and standards.
• Prepare and close out parts for shipping, including oiling and wrapping in plastic.
• Prepare required paperwork for parts shipment.
• Become an FAA Certified Repairman, as needed.
• Learn the Pentagon parts sorting/logging program.
• Learn to use power hand tools to work on parts.
• Sandblast parts with glass bead for cleaning.
• Use chemical cleaners like MEK, mineral spirits, and alcohol.
• Learn to accurately use micro measuring tools like micrometers, c-micrometers, and bore gauges.

Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have 3 months to 2 years of ACI experience or related outside experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Is occasionally required to sit, stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and lift up to 80 pounds. Is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and work in moderate levels of noise.
• Has clear vision at 20 inches or less.
• Able to pass a physical exam, Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), Fit Test, and to wear a respirator.
