Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at St. Francis Medical Center. As a key member of our Perinatal team, you will provide acute clinical care to neonates and newborns, utilizing your expertise in respiratory care to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care to neonates and newborns in the Perinatal area, including the NICU, Nursery, Labor and Delivery, and ER.
  • Perform a variety of technical procedures, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and medication administration, using independent judgment and common sense.
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including charting and documentation.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a JRCTE-approved program for Respiratory Therapy, with a two-year program preferred.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the NBRC or CRT with a minimum of two years previous NICU experience.
  • Current licensure by the State as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Perinatal/Pediatric Specialty Certificate from NBRC (preferred).
  • Current certification in BCLS, NRP, PALS, and ACLS.
