Psychiatric Care Specialist

As a Psychiatrist with Eutis Staffing Inc, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to adult and geriatric psychiatric inpatient populations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments of medical illnesses.
- Serving as a medical consultant to attending psychiatrists/practitioners.
- Completing admission medical assessments, including history and physical examinations, mental status examinations, and entering admission orders.
- Ordering diagnostic/therapeutic tests and procedures, and monitoring patient progress.
- Consulting with authorized representatives/legal guardians on patient medical status.
- Collaborating with attending psychiatric practitioners to provide valid, complete, and supported DSM-5 diagnoses.
- Providing coverage to the medical clinic and admission suite to ensure the admission process is completed.
- Prescribing medications at the lowest effective dose in accordance with rational clinical practices.
- Assessing and addressing medication side-effects and reporting adverse drug reactions.
- Ensuring timely and quality documentation in patient records in accordance with policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and guidelines.
- 3+ years of experience as a Physician/Practitioner.
- Strong experience working with patients having Serious Mental Illness (SMI).
- Prior experience in Psychiatric Crisis Management and Forensic experience is a plus.
- Experience working with adult admissions or geriatric admissions and acute and chronic health management of adult and geriatric populations.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required.
This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch break. The pay rate is $131/hour based on a 40-hour work week. There are 2 open positions available.
