Aquatics Facility Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatics Facility Coordinator to join our team at the City of Gaithersburg. As a key member of our Parks, Recreation & Culture department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our aquatic facilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our visitors.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, develop, and implement aquatic programs and services, including facility rentals, special events, and group outings.
- Oversee the daily opening and closing of facilities, monitor equipment, and identify maintenance concerns.
- Coordinate and promote community partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations to enhance our aquatic programs.
- Assist with budget development and manage financial operations, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our visitors.
- Recruit, hire, supervise, train, and evaluate facility staff to ensure excellent customer service.
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Leisure Services, or a closely related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in swimming pool operations/management and community aquatic programming.
- At least 2 years of direct supervisory experience.
- Valid Maryland driver's license, CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, and Montgomery County Swimming Pool Operator License (or equivalent).
- Competitive salary range ($65,000 - $71,000) based on experience and qualifications.
