Job Overview

This position is primarily centered around performing fluid inspections and essential vehicle upkeep. An Automotive Fluid Maintenance Technician is responsible for changing engine oil, assessing transmission fluid levels, and checking various other fluid levels. Additionally, this role involves inspecting belts, filters, and monitoring air levels and gauges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct tests to ensure systems and components are secure and functioning correctly
  • Identify and isolate systems or components that may have caused issues
  • Perform vehicle test drives for diagnostic purposes
  • Maintain high levels of efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
  • Replace or repair worn components to prevent vehicle breakdowns
  • Utilize power tools, machine tools, and standard hand tools for various tasks

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in quickly identifying automotive issues

  • Excellent analytical and communication abilities
  • Solid reading, computer, and mathematical skills
  • Eager to learn new technologies and service procedures
  • Comfortable using electronic diagnostic tools
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment
  • Basic computer proficiency
