Position Overview

The Culinary Specialist for Banquet Services is responsible for executing high-quality meal preparation and presentation. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong background in diverse cooking methods and ingredient utilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to a 'clean as you go' philosophy at all times.
  • Follow Event Orders provided by the supervising Chef to ensure all culinary tasks are completed accurately.
  • Create a detailed Prep list with timelines for each event, considering setup times for various service styles including Boats, Banquets, and Buffets.
  • Engage in discussions with the Chef on duty to clarify all items to be prepared and the necessary equipment required. Utilize the Prep list to confirm that all food preparations are completed correctly.
  • Facilitate buffet services.
  • Oversee plated dinner services.

Insurance Benefits:

  • Full-time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance starting the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
  • Employees must maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week to qualify.
  • Variable hour team members may become eligible for benefits after 12 months, pending supervisor approval, provided they have averaged 30+ hours per week during their first year.

Retirement Plan:

  • Team members can enroll in the 401K Plan upon reaching 21 years of age and after 60 days of employment.
  • The company matches 50% of contributions up to 4% from the employee.

Paid Time Off (PTO):

  • After 6 months: 7 PTO days - 728 hours (average 28 hours per week).
  • After 1 year: 10 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week).
  • After 2-4 years: 15 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week).
  • After 5+ years: 20 PTO days - 1,200 hours (average 23 hours per week).

Holiday Compensation:

  • Hourly team members working on Thanksgiving and Christmas will receive time and a half for their hours worked.
