Job Summary:

The Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Hospitality Host to join our team. As a Hospitality Host, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience at our resort.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the flow of guest traffic in the restaurant and provide prompt and courteous service to all guests.
  • Greet all guests, engage in conversation when appropriate, and seat guests, accommodating special requests as feasible.
  • Assist managers in opening and closing the restaurant.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries.
  • Control heavy volume at restaurant entrances and ensure an even distribution of guests across servers' sections.
  • Inform guests about buffets and special events.
  • Attend to and anticipate guests' needs.
  • Familiarize yourself with menus and introduce servers to guests.
  • Greet guests and provide a warm welcome.
  • Assign guest checks and perform other tasks as requested by leadership.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Current or willingness to obtain ABC and ServeSafe Certifications.
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours each shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10lbs.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Previous guest/customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of fine dining verbiage (preferred).
  • Previous experience working as a host/hostess (preferred).
