PRN Speech-Language Pathologist

This PRN Speech-Language Pathologist will provide coverage at our Memorial City and Sugar Land outpatient facilities, working weekdays and Saturdays as needed.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and rehabilitating patients of all ages with communication and swallowing disorders.
You will develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, document patient progress, and provide instruction to patients and caregivers. Additionally, you will serve as a clinical resource and mentor, overseeing the development and guidance of assistants, students, and interns.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, current licensure and certification, and a minimum of one year of experience. You will also have demonstrated ability and willingness to mentor and train staff, as well as provide clinical leadership and expertise.
This role requires occasional lifting and carrying of up to 30 pounds, prolonged standing, and frequent walking, stooping, and squatting. You will also need fine hand dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and the ability to receive and communicate verbally and in writing.
Responsibilities- Assumes responsibility for patient care
- Performs comprehensive evaluations and interprets findings
- Develops and implements treatment plans, re-assesses patient status, and alters treatment goals and plans as needed
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
- Documents patient progress and completes other documentation duties accurately and efficiently
- Serves as a clinical resource and mentor, overseeing the development and guidance of assistants, students, and interns
- Assists in program development and actively participates in organized community service
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current licensure and certification
- Minimum of one year of experience
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to mentor and train staff
- Ability to commit to an elected commitment schedule with flexibility in scheduling and movement within patient care areas
