About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Building and Land Technology. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance duties to ensure the upkeep and enhancement of our luxury community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventive Maintenance: Assist in completing work in 'make-ready' apartments, including painting, drywall repair, cleaning carpets, floors, and windows, as well as general maintenance repairs and housekeeping.
  • Community Inspections: Perform regular community inspections as requested by the Maintenance Manager to ensure the community meets our high standards.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the grounds, keeping common areas free of trash and debris.
  • Mechanical Equipment: Help maintain all mechanical equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Recommendations: Recommend the repair or replacement of any interior and exterior areas.
  • Compliance: Understand and comply with Fair Housing laws and standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; trade and/or technical school training is a plus.
  • Experience: Must have 1+ year of HVAC experience and a minimum of 1+ year of hands-on experience in painting, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, or similar maintenance-related field of work.
  • Certifications: Fire Safety Manager Certification is required, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Computer Skills: Computer knowledge with the ability to generate work orders using a property management software system.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record are required.
  • Certifications (Preferred): EPA, CPO, HVAC, and CFC certifications are a plus.
  • Availability: Evening and weekend work may be required.
