Job Title: Nursing Assistant - Acute Care

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at UW Health Madison East Hospital. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures to patients on Med/Surg Units.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide supportive care to patients, including activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, and intentional rounding.
  • Assist with basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Interact and engage with visitors, patients, and their family members to establish a trusting relationship.
Requirements:
  • Must have Inpatient (IP) or Surgical Services experience.
  • Must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.
  • Must have experience in an Academic Level - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
  • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
Education and Licensure:
  • Minimum - Must be listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry.
  • BLS - must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY.
  • Education - Minimum - High school diploma or equivalent and Graduate of State of Wisconsin Approved Nursing Assistant program.

UW Health Madison East Hospital, 4602 Eastpark Blvd, Madison, WI 53718.

Free parking available.

Shifts and Hours:

40 hours/week, Day/Evening, 8 hr shifts between Mostly 8 hr shifts but might have ability to work 10 hr shifts.

Monday - Friday.

  • Must Be Currently Active.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2.
  • Minimum Guaranteed Hours: 40.
