Role Responsibilities:

As an Associate Accountant, you will engage in a diverse range of research, bookkeeping, auditing, accounting, and tax-related assignments, as well as other consulting tasks. Your performance will be evaluated based on the proficiency and effectiveness of your task execution, including the quality of your work, application of accounting knowledge, and ability to meet deadlines.

Key Performance Areas:

  1. Organizing and managing your daily schedule, adapting to changes based on project urgency.
  2. Gaining insights into tax, accounting, and research methodologies.
  3. Enhancing your technical skills with business equipment and software.
  4. Developing robust documentation skills using the firm's templates.
  5. Understanding the firm's tax protocols and procedures.
  6. Collaborating effectively within a team environment, fostering open communication.
  7. Conducting self-reviews of your work.
  8. Taking responsibility for assigned tasks and clients.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in essential business software, including:
    • Basic: Excel, Word, Database Management Software, and Project Management Tools.
    • Advanced: Specialized accounting and auditing software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to identify and address potential issues during engagements.
  • Collaborating directly with other staff, managers, and partners.
  • Completing tasks efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required. Previous bookkeeping and business tax preparation experience is advantageous. Candidates should prepare for and aim to pass the CPA examination.
