Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Trainer to join our team at Zobility. As a Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for providing live and virtual technical training to dealership technicians in the areas of diagnosis, service, and maintenance of various automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to ensure dealership technicians have the necessary skills to diagnose and repair complex vehicle systems.
  • Drive new model vehicles for evaluation and product familiarity to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies.
  • Maintain the highest level of technical proficiency in all areas of vehicle systems and provide expert guidance to dealership technicians.
  • Manage inventory and functionality of tools, components, vehicles, and facility to ensure optimal training environments.
  • Support the Course Development Team in creating engaging and effective training content.
  • Assist in developing training schedules and coordinating with Business Center Field personnel on training initiatives.
  • Communicate with dealership personnel on training requirements and counsel with Service Managers to help them understand and utilize technical training for the benefit of the dealership.
Requirements
  • Technical knowledge of automotive components and systems, including experience with diagnostic equipment such as scan tools, lab scopes, and DVOMs.
  • Ability to interact effectively with various personality types and communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to complete tasks with minimal direction.
  • Familiarity with office automation programs, such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, and experience with online content presentation platforms, such as Zoom and Adobe Connect.
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a technician, preferably with Clients brands dealership experience.
  • Experience teaching automotive is preferred, but not required.
  • Willingness to travel, as needed, up to 30% of the time.
Education

A degree is preferred, but relevant experience and a strong passion for automotive training will be considered.
