Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a member of the surgical team in the scrub role, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Contribute to maintaining the readiness of the Operating Room, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a professional work environment, promoting a culture of respect and excellence.
  • Participate in ongoing self-development, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program, with a strong foundation in surgical procedures and patient care.
  • Ability to recognize and respond to the needs of patients across various age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Fine motor skills, with the ability to wear surgical masks and gloves, and to hear individuals with muffled speech.
  • CPR certification and Certified Surgical Technologist certification from the NBSTSA within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions, with heavy lifting and exposure to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including holidays and take call as needed.
