Job Title: Electrophysiology Technician

Nurse First is seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join their team in Seattle, Washington. As an Electrophysiology Technician, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.

Job Summary:

The Electrophysiology Technician will be responsible for preparing patients for electrophysiology procedures, operating electrophysiology equipment, and assisting physicians during procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for electrophysiology procedures, including explaining the procedure, obtaining informed consent, and positioning the patient.
  • Operate electrophysiology equipment, including electrocardiogram machines, defibrillators, and pacemakers.
  • Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures, including inserting catheters, administering medications, and monitoring the patient's vital signs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a related field, such as cardiovascular technology or a related field.
  • Current certification as an Electrophysiology Technician, such as the Certified Electrophysiology Technician (CET) credential.
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
