Economics Professor - Part-Time Faculty Opportunity at Durham Technical Community College

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a qualified Economics Professor to join our part-time faculty team at Durham Technical Community College. As an adjunct instructor, you will be responsible for teaching courses in Economics, preparing and delivering lesson plans, grading student work, and maintaining accurate records.

**Responsibilities:**
* Teach Economics courses, as assigned, for the full duration of scheduled instruction
* Prepare and deliver lesson plans, syllabi, and instructional materials
* Enforce academic policy and procedures, and comply with institutional rules and regulations
* Maintain accurate student records, reports, and forms
* Stay current with developments in the field of Economics
* Participate in department meetings, discussions, and other academic activities

**Requirements:**
* Master's degree in Economics or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Economics
* At least 18 months of experience teaching at a university or community college
* Thorough understanding of and commitment to the mission and philosophy of the North Carolina Community College System
* Demonstrated ability to use modern instructional technology and experience with Internet-based instruction
* Competence in oral and written communication skills, and ability to establish and maintain effective communication and interpersonal relations

**Working Conditions:**
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Specific work hours are to be determined by the scheduled class hours and by consultation with the supervisor. Hours are not guaranteed but are based on student enrollment and faculty needs.

**Salary:**
$37.19 per hour
