Job Description

We're seeking a part-time Teacher Assistant to support our aftercare program, REEF. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the success of our students and helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and assist in the coordination of before and aftercare programs for assigned classrooms.
  • Proactively support the success of daily activities planned by Lead Teachers.
  • Lead classroom activities several times per week and help students get the most out of each planned activity through positivity and encouragement.
  • Monitor student behavior for growth, progress, and opportunities to reward, and consult with parents and share the good news.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to help engage and educate students, and facilitate and lead activities created by lead teachers in their absence.
  • Anticipate the needs of teachers and students so that activities run as smoothly as possible, and work cooperatively with team members to meet goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and ensure students' safety during aftercare activities on campus and on field trips if necessary.
  • Help supervise transition periods between classes and group play, and ensure that students are fully engaged in REEF classes each period.
Estimated Salary

$19.25-$22.25/hourly (Part-time)

Required Skills and Qualifications

We're looking for a candidate with a warm and friendly personality, excellent verbal and writing communication skills, and strong motivational skills. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and experience with before-and-aftercare program administration is a plus. Basic technology skills, especially with Google Suite, are also essential.

Terms of Employment

10 Months

This part-time role is based on-site and will grow to include another campus, which will result in interaction with students, parents, and staff. The working environment is in-school, and the physical demands of this role may require reasonable accommodations to be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential responsibilities of the job. Should reasonable accommodation be required, the HR department must be notified to discuss the physical demands of the job.
