Job Overview

Position Summary:
Bowlin Group is in search of a proficient Fiber Splicer to enhance our dedicated workforce. This role is pivotal in executing fiber optic cable splicing, conducting tests, and troubleshooting to guarantee superior network functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute fiber optic splicing along with thorough inspection and testing of fiber in various settings.
  • Interpret and revise splicing schematics and diagrams accurately.
  • Maintain precise records of splicing and field operations.
  • Diagnose and perform maintenance to rectify signal disruptions.
  • Utilize specialized equipment, including optical spectrum analyzers, fusion splicers, and OTDR.
  • Comply with rigorous safety protocols and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support project objectives.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to operate in diverse outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Capable of physical activities such as lifting, climbing, and bending.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Fiber Splicer with a solid understanding of industry standards and technologies.
  • Strong technical, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is preferred.
  • This position requires passing a drug test.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory.
