Butcher Block Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Butcher Block Supervisor to join our Meat Department team at Albertsons. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and controlling the operation of the Butcher Block, supervising and training personnel, and ensuring exceptional customer service and product quality.

• Customer Service and Product Quality: Champion customer service programs to meet or exceed division customer service goals, handle customer relations, and promote personalized service.
• Inventory Management: Order, receive, and break down deliveries, stock, display, and rotate meat, poultry, and seafood products to ensure quality, freshness, and proper inventory levels.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, train, and participate in the hiring of butcher block personnel, monitor associate performance, and recommend personnel actions.
• Operations and Maintenance: Conduct daily inspections, initiate corrective measures, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Merchandising and Display: Implement effective promotional and seasonal displays, control shrink and expenses, and maintain accurate records.
• Inventory Control: Order, check, receive, and control inventory to ensure proper levels, product quality, and freshness.
• Training and Development: Ensure all associates are trained and instructed in the proper performance of work duties, monitor performance, and report observations to the Meat Manager or Store Director.
• Confidentiality and Integrity: Maintain confidentiality concerning associates, store sales, and other company information, and perform all job duties safely, accurately, and with honesty and integrity.

• Working Knowledge: Requires working knowledge of all job duties within the Butcher Block, including cutting, wrapping, steaming, and customer service.
• Communication and Leadership: Requires strong communication skills, good leadership and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage people and maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers.
• Knowledge of Employment Laws: Requires knowledge of employment laws and workplace practices.
• Physical Demands: Frequently reaches, lifts, stacks, and maneuvers objects of varying dimensions and weights up to approximately 55 lbs, bends, stoops, and reaches frequently, and occasionally climbs ladders.

• Temperature-Controlled Environment: Working conditions consist of a temperature-controlled store environment.
• Exposure to Potential Hazards: Exposure to potential hazards exists with respect to cutting equipment and other work aids necessary to perform job duties.
