We are seeking a highly skilled Children's Librarian to join our team at the Anderson County Library. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for coordinating library and literacy outreach to youth, parents, and other adults who work with youth.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in library science from an accredited university and at least two (2) years of professional children's librarian experience. They should also have knowledge of standard library functions, practices, and procedures, as well as excellent research, clerical, and computer skills.
In this role, you will plan and conduct off-site family programs and community outreach events, review statistics and feedback about youth and outreach programs, and use this information to plan future programs. You will also help develop the Summer Reading Program and coordinate special events and speakers.
The salary for this position is approximately $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and retirement plans.
