Job SummaryThe University of Central Missouri is seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our faculty in the School of Business Administration. Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Information Systems, including introductory and advanced courses in programming, data structures, and software engineering.
- Develop and maintain a research agenda that aligns with the university's strategic goals and contributes to the advancement of the field of Computer Information Systems.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, including guidance on course selection, career development, and research opportunities.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work, curriculum development, and community engagement.
- Doctorate degree in Computer Information Systems or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited program.
- Strong teaching and research record, with a demonstrated ability to publish in top-tier journals and present at conferences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Professional certification in a relevant area, such as software engineering or data science.
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
