Advanced Training Systems Instructor for Military Applications

The Advanced Training Systems Exercise Instructor (ATSEI) is accountable to the Site Manager and is part of the Skillbridge initiative.

The primary responsibilities of the FA-18EF Contract Instructor include:

  • Facilitating scheduled training sessions led by Contract Instructors for Training Device and Systems Training, which encompasses briefings and debriefings, utilizing both traditional and contemporary tools such as interactive whiteboards, computers, and video projection systems.
  • Assessing student training and mission performance as necessary and documenting instructor performance in accordance with established standards.
  • Reviewing educational materials, evaluating, and suggesting enhancements to the training curriculum.
  • Maintaining, evaluating, and proposing improvements to mission scenarios to ensure their effectiveness and relevance.
  • Delivering classroom instruction and providing recommendations for enhancements, including assessments and instructional materials, lesson plans, and trainee guides in line with current directives.
  • Providing academic instruction, which includes instructor-led lectures and discussions on Crew Resource Management, Instrument Ground School, as well as self-paced Computer Aided Instruction and Computer Based Training for courses associated with each platform.
  • Assisting with inspections of training devices and certification programs, along with other special projects as required.
  • Performing additional support and responsibilities as assigned by the Site Manager.

Compensation:
This position is classified as a Skillbridge role with a pay range of $0 salary. Valiant takes into account various factors, including market data, business considerations, internal equity, role responsibilities, and the candidate's experience, education, and training when making an offer.

Applicants must be NATOPS qualified aircrew members (Pilot or Electronic Warfare Officer) of the FA-18EF aircraft within the last 5 years, with at least 1 deployed fleet tour and 500 flying hours in the FA-18EF, or have served as a designated FA-18EF Contract Instructor within the last 2 years.

Applicants will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria to obtain and maintain a minimum of a TS clearance for access to classified information.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, capable of obtaining a U.S. passport, and must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

This role requires mental alertness and sustained concentration during training scenarios.

Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions is essential.
