Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and deliver a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and practice that caters to the diverse needs of our members.

  • Curriculum Design: Create lesson plans that develop confidence and self-expression in our members, utilizing various teaching techniques and materials as needed.
  • Reporting and Administration: Complete and submit all relevant reports, including supply requests, lesson plans, and timesheets, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Material Management: Ensure the proper care and organization of all area materials, reporting any misused or damaged materials to the Art Director.
  • Technical Skills: Teach lessons using various media techniques and programs, including Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
  • Professional Development: Attend required department meetings and professional development trainings to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant training, 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated leadership in an educational, social service, or youth development setting.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to engage with young people and set structure and limits in a group setting.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with multiple computer programs and software, including Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign.
  • Certifications: First Aid and CPR certification desirable.
