Job Objective

The aim of this position is to deliver expert knowledge through logistical support services, equipment-related services, and specialized knowledge-based services in alignment with NSWG-1.

Responsibilities
  • Support government personnel in overseeing and monitoring the execution of NSWG-1 budgetary resources within the Operations and Maintenance budget
  • Identify and evaluate trends in receipts, obligations, and expenditures
  • Provide recommendations for funding targets based on analyses of budget estimates, historical expenditures, projected needs, and approved funding
  • Review and monitor obligations, expenditures, and requests for allotments through detailed examination of accounting records, ongoing communication with program officials and their teams, and assessment of progress reports
  • Compile various reports detailing the status of program funds, expenses, and obligations as required by higher authorities
  • Assess the impact of cost and program changes on the budget execution process. Analyze key performance indicators of the program
  • Advise on the necessity for transfers and realignments of funding across object classes, line items, work breakdown structure (WBS) codes, and accounts within the same budget program
  • Engage in monitoring year-end closing to ensure the proper and complete utilization of program funds, avoiding any anti-deficiency violations
Minimum Job Requirements/Technical Requirements
  • Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license
  • Proficient in operating a Personal Computer (PC) with standard business software applications. Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with others, both verbally and in writing
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current and valid U.S. passport, and maintain a valid U.S. passport throughout the duration of the contract
  • Physical Requirements: The role is primarily sedentary but may require walking, climbing stairs (as found on ships), standing, stooping, and bending. Adequate eyesight for reading, hearing for verbal communication and phone calls, and no debilitating medical conditions that would hinder operation in austere environments or regular attendance are required

Bachelor's degree preferred

Security Clearance

Must possess an active DoD SECRET Security Clearance
