Position Overview:
The Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2 to join our diverse and qualified team. This leadership position is based in Palmdale, CA.
The manager will oversee the System Integration Lab (SIL) Infrastructure, Architecture, and HW/SW development integration testing team. Responsibilities include managing lab operations, maintenance, staffing, planning, integration/testing execution, and providing SIL status updates to senior management. This role requires a highly motivated and proactive individual with relevant IT and/or SIL testing and operational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead SIL maintenance, modifications, troubleshooting, and test asset enhancements.
- Define test configurations, coordinate test alterations, and spearhead HW/SW certification initiatives.
- Supervise daily activities of assigned personnel, including Test Conductors and Systems Engineers.
- Manage SIL budgets, personnel, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the Palmdale Test & Evaluation (T&E) Functional Homeroom as necessary for the statement of work.
- Identify testing and facility risks and growth strategies throughout the development lifecycle.
- Fulfill Section Manager responsibilities, overseeing 10 to 15 direct reports. The selected candidate will report functionally to the Strike T&E Department Manager and operationally to the Strike SIL Lab IPT Manager.

Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of relevant engineering/testing or infrastructure/architecture experience, OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline AND 7 years of relevant engineering/testing or infrastructure/architecture experience.
- An active DoD Top Secret clearance, with an investigation date within the past 6 years.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Access (PAR) within a reasonable timeframe, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Willingness to work non-standard shifts and overtime as required.
- Flexibility to take on additional assignments within the IPT beyond the defined requirements of this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM).
- Active PAR.
Salary Range: $151,900 - $227,900
The above salary range serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may qualify for Long Term Incentives. Additionally, Northrop Grumman offers a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plans, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
