Respiratory Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at Saline Memorial. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing top-notch patient care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory therapy, with experience in critical care settings. They will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and ensuring seamless communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, from neonates to adults, and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will also have access to ongoing training and education opportunities, helping you stay up-to-date with the latest advances in respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities- Provide safe and effective patient care, addressing age-specific variations in clinical, educational, psychological, and cultural needs
- Demonstrate critical thinking by individualizing and prioritizing care, assessing patient needs, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team
- Recognize emergency situations and intervene appropriately, participating in Code Team and Rapid Response Team as assigned
- Support our hospital's commitment to Family Centered Care, demonstrating a positive attitude towards customer needs, expectations, satisfaction, and diversity
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a critical care setting
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
- A current Arkansas Respiratory Care License, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to obtain Neonatal Resuscitation Certification within 6 months and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
