About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Scheels. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting our products, and meeting sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers
  • Grow personal sales by meeting minimum goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards
  • Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and explain its benefits to customers
  • Engage with customers, assist them in making buying decisions, and demonstrate a passion for our products
  • Attend all product training and store meetings, maintaining a professional appearance on the sales floor
  • Assist with other assigned duties, including freight and stocking
  • Ability to perform basic math, compute rate, ratio, and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers and employees
  • Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Must be willing to help with freight and stocking when needed
  • Ability to demonstrate product usage and retrieve products from heights of greater than 6 ft

  • Dress Code: Meet Scheels' dress and grooming expectations to support a professional, clean, and welcoming environment for customers, co-workers, and business partners
  • Efficiency: Demonstrate pride and ownership of your work while meeting expected deadlines
Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or 1-3 months of sales experience

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation

Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
