KIRO Host

We are seeking a talented and experienced talk show host to join our team at KIRO FM in Seattle. As a KIRO Host, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative content to our listeners, while also promoting our station's brand and values.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver content for a daily talk show in an entertaining and professional manner.
• Select and develop story ideas for on-air presentation.
• Capture the attention of an audience with a unique and informed perspective.
• Develop an on-air presence and a professional demeanor that exudes confidence.
• Discuss current events in a conversational manner.
• Execute format philosophy and work with a team of other professionals while creating a distinctive sound.

• Ability to build audience by connecting on a personal level with listeners/users and generating loyalty.
• Ability to offer engaging content through a variety of platforms and effectively engage with audience.
• Ability to work independently at times, but also able to take direction from management/supervisors.
• Basic understanding of operating a remote broadcast (if not in Bonneville Seattle studio).
• Ability to recognize, conceptualize, and develop unique angles and topics within the most talked about stories of the day.

• Bachelor's Degree in communication, journalism, related field, or equivalent experience.
• Medium or large market hosting experience (1-2 years).
• On-air experience with proven ratings success.
