We are seeking a highly skilled Dietitian I to join our team as a Pediatric Nutrition Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition services to patients and families, developing and implementing personalized nutrition care plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive nutrient intake analyses and assess nutritional needs of patients to develop and implement effective nutrition care plans.
- Provide individualized nutrition education and counseling to patients and families, ensuring comprehension and re-educating as needed.
- Participate in discharge planning and patient care conferences, following up on recommendations and care plans with the healthcare team.
- Coordinate and transition care from inpatient to outpatient or outpatient to inpatient services, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Develop and present health education and promotion programs, including training workshops, conferences, and community presentations.
- Collaborate with community resources, professional organizations, and other agencies to implement care plans and promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Document nutrition information in the electronic medical record and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Bachelor's degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or food service administration, with completion of an American Dietetic Association-approved dietetic education program.
- Licenses in dietitian in accordance with Chapter 468, Florida Statutes.
- Two years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting and/or with HIV/AIDS population preferred.
- Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization, or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
