We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team at Children's Wisconsin. As a key member of our acute care unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients with complex medical needs, including cardiology, renal, hepatology, and solid organ transplant patients.
- Collaborate with the care management team to coordinate and manage patient care, including delegating patient activities as appropriate.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
- Work closely with families and caregivers to provide education and support, promoting a smooth transition from hospital to home.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of pediatric nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within the first 90 days of employment.
- At least one year of hospital RN experience, preferably in a pediatric acute care setting.
