CHRISTUS Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Acute Trauma Medical Surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient teaching and the activities of ancillary nursing personnel.
- Maintain standards of professional nursing and provide care that is patient-centered and evidence-based.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Graduate of a State Board accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
- 1 year of RN acute hospital experience preferred.
- Current RN license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
- American Heart Association BLS – within two (2) weeks of employment.
- ACLS – preferred within eight (8) weeks of employment.
The Acute Trauma Medical Surgical unit is a 40-bed mixed unit on the 5th floor, providing care for medical monitored patients, traumatic injuries, and post-operative care for patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal and urologic procedures.
