Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Server to join our team at Manhatta, a restaurant and full-service event space from Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that all guests have memorable experiences filled with hospitality, delicious food and drinks, and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food and Beverage Knowledge: Demonstrate expertise of all food and beverage menu items with sound knowledge of all ingredients and preparations.
  • Service Standards: Consistently follows steps of service with efficiency and grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service.
  • Guest Needs: Anticipates guest needs, ensuring constant communication with colleagues, management, and the kitchen at all times during service.
  • Cleanliness and Appearance: Maintains the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service.
  • Continuous Learning: Demonstrates an eagerness to continue to learn and grow.
  • Enlightened Hospitality: Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years experience as a Server role in a full-service restaurant.
  • Language: English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time, ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
