Job Title: Assistant Professor in Earth Sciences

Job Summary: Denison University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences. We seek a broadly trained scientist engaged in the study of Natural Hazards.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses at all levels of the curriculum with an emphasis on Structural Geology & Tectonics, Natural Hazards, and Introductory Earth & Environmental Sciences.
  • Maintain a vibrant, ongoing research program that actively incorporates undergraduate students in a liberal arts setting.
  • Contribute to the life of the department, institution, and the larger community through service activities.

Requirements: A Ph.D. in Earth or Environmental Sciences or an allied discipline by start date.
