We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Wellpath. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive medical services to inmates, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures, state guidelines, and practice standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site clinics and rounds, documenting all services provided in SOAP format
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide emergency treatment on-site
  • Support standards of medical care through adherence to existing policies and procedures
  • Provide input into facility mandatory committees as requested by Site Medical Director, Health Services Administrator, or designee
Requirements:
  • A graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • An advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred
  • Must have the patience and tact to deal with the inmate population and ability to work effectively in the corrections environment
  • Scheduling flexibility is also required to be able to rotate hours and shifts, if needed, and to be called during emergency situations to provide coverage
