We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Respite Mental Health Specialist II to join our team at Eliot Community Human Services. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with adults who have serious and persistent mental illnesses, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

About the Role:

  • Assist consumers in developing skills and strategies to manage their daily lives.
  • Collaborate with consumers and other staff to develop personalized action plans that address their unique needs and goals.
  • Support consumers in integrating into their communities through activities and outings.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Develop short-term goals with consumers to help them achieve greater independence and self-sufficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of experience working with adults who have severe and persistent mental illness.
