Job Overview

Motivo Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Electro-Mechanical Systems Architect to join our team. As a key member of our project-based product development company, you will be responsible for leading the technical decision-making process in electro-mechanical projects.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $95,000 - $130,000 per year, with an additional annual profit sharing estimate of $14,000 - $27,000. Responsibilities

As an Electro-Mechanical Systems Architect, you will work closely with a Project Manager and Technical Lead to guide a focused team of engineers through the initial phases of a product development program. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning the technical and programmatic aspects of the development
  • Defining or reviewing the complete system architecture
  • Identifying key components and technologies
  • Leading the technical team to successful project completion
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Master's preferred)
  • Three or more years of professional engineering experience (7+ years for senior role consideration)
  • Direct technical experience on multiple electro-mechanical projects
  • A deep understanding of physics and electro-mechanical control systems
  • Extensive detailed design experience in mechanical, electrical, or software systems
  • Experience working with design tools and environments similar to ours, including simulation and controls development, SPICE platforms, 3D CAD, PCB design, and higher-level software development
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present results and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and support a team of engineers through technical challenges
  • Exceptional English speaking ability and good-for-an-engineer writing skills
