Position Overview:
As a Vehicle Operations Specialist at HKA Enterprises, you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of vehicles within our facility. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Working Hours:
Your schedule will be from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, operating on a 4x10 workweek. Depending on the incoming vessel schedule, your workdays will alternate between Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday. Weekend shifts may be required based on operational volume.
Compensation:
The pay rate for this position is $20.53 per hour. This is a 12-month contract role with the potential for conversion to a permanent position based on performance and attendance.
Benefits:
Employee-paid medical benefits will commence on the first of the month following your start date. Additionally, paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay are included.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate the movement of vehicles through the Vehicle Distribution Center (VDC) processes.
2. Operate the car wash facilities.
3. Manage fuel pump operations.
4. Conduct battery voltage checks as the First Point of Rest (FPOR).
5. Assist with basic facility maintenance as required.
6. Engage in cross-training to enhance skills in VDC IT systems.
7. Operate vehicles in a controlled yard environment.
8. Proficiently handle manual transmission vehicles.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED is required. Candidates must possess basic automotive knowledge and a valid Driver's License from any U.S. state. The role demands physical capabilities including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, driving, pulling, kneeling, reaching, standing, twisting, walking, climbing, pushing, squatting, and exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
