Rock Truck Driver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Rock Truck Driver to join our team at Belvidere Sand & Gravel, a division of The H&K Group, Inc. The successful candidate will operate a straight or articulated rubber-tired rock truck equipped with a hydraulically powered bed to transport and dump material.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of equipment and complete daily inspection sheets
  • Operate rock truck safely and efficiently to transport material and achieve production goals
  • Perform routine maintenance on rock truck, including lubrication and cleaning
  • Assist with maintenance tasks as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ months of related experience
  • Experience operating heavy equipment or CDL
  • Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting
