The City of Huntsville's General Services Department is seeking a qualified Building Custodian to join our team. As a Building Custodian, you will be responsible for cleaning, securing, and performing minor maintenance of public buildings and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain public buildings and facilities, including offices, meeting rooms, and restrooms.
- Secure buildings and facilities, including locking and unlocking doors, and monitoring access.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, and fixing minor issues with furniture and equipment.
- Assist with special events and functions, such as setup and cleanup.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is desired.
- Some janitorial experience is required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
