Role Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer will lead initiatives focused on product and process enhancements. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, this role thrives in a collaborative environment where each member is committed to growth and contribution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gain insights into design, assembly, and manufacturing processes, serving as a technical authority to guarantee consistent quality and reliability throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Guide various technical tasks, including conducting design reviews, creating FMEA (Failure Modes & Effects Analysis), and managing engineering change requests.
  • Utilize expertise in product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials to propose enhancements in design and manufacturing processes.
  • Examine defects, yield rates, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and other manufacturability challenges, designing and executing experiments to refine processes and systems.
  • Initiate and lead new projects, identifying best practices and acting as the Project Leader for key improvement initiatives.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of current manufacturing processes, pinpointing areas for operational efficiency improvements.
  • Provide engineering support for manufacturing-related technical challenges.
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure compliance with established project plans.
  • Establish project and process protocols, coordinating product validation efforts.
  • Stay informed about the latest methodologies in the fabrication industry.
  • Ensure accuracy in information and documentation.
  • Identify potential issues and risks to promote cost-effective new product development and integration into manufacturing.
  • Assist production and quality assurance teams in addressing product quality concerns.
  • Participate in internal and external Quality Management System audits as needed.
  • Support manufacturing and process engineering projects related to R&D and continuous improvement.
  • Review and audit designs and programs developed by team members.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Manufacturing Engineering and/or Product Engineering is required.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software is necessary.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing principles is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Capability to work independently and effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing context is important.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes is required.
  • Detail-oriented with robust analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying information effectively to both technical and non-technical personnel.
