VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown, DE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide continuous visual monitoring of patients who have been assessed to be at risk for self-directed violence (otherwise known as Psychiatric Close Observation).
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (preference for an associate degree in human services, or working towards a degree in human services).
  • Mental or Behavioral Health experience is preferred.
