Responsibilities

As the Ultrasound Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the Ultrasound/Mammography Department, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delegating assignments and staffing to ensure effective departmental operations
  • Securing and maintaining equipment and supplies to support patient care
  • Monitoring equipment for preventive maintenance and compliance with NYDOH and TJC regulations
  • Managing payroll timekeeping and participating in human resources functions
  • Training and coaching new staff members and performing QA/QC on applicable equipment

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in Ultrasound and/or Mammography Technology
  • Minimum four years' experience as an Ultrasound and/or Mammography Technologist
  • Registration by ARDMS, CCI, and/or ARRT in Ultrasound and/or Mammography
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in CR, DDR, and PACS systems
