Job Title: Blood Cancer Unit Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Blood Cancer Unit team at ThreePDS Inc. in South Austin, TX. As a Registered Nurse on this unit, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to individuals with blood and marrow transplant patients, patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders, and others meeting admission criteria.

Responsibilities:

* Provide direct patient care to a maximum of 4 patients in an acute care setting
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
* Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
* Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques

Requirements:

* 1 year of acute nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
* Must have Oncology experience in an acute care, cancer center, or medical center
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
* Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within first year of hire
* Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Provider card within the first 6 months of hire
* Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and/or Blood & Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCN) certification preferred
